Bio:Tapestry helps people reweave relationship to the land.

Modern culture has lost the kinship with nature that is its birthright. The dead and dying pieces of the great and ancient relationship between humans and the earth lie scattered like bleached bones across the landscapes of our exile.

But they can be collected again, reassembled into the whole, sung back to life for us all. The pieces are in art and in story, in the patterns rediscovered by science and in the awe long preserved by religions. The rhythms of its life are written into the very cells of our bodies.

Tapestry gathers and weaves together ancient and modern wisdom, art and story, and the experiences of contemporary people -- including you. We do this using the processes of Indigenous traditions worldwide, for Tapestry was founded by a Native person, half our board is Native, and we operate out of Indigenous worldview. What emerges are powerful opportunities for learning, restoring our relationship with the earth, and reconstructing the meaning of a kinship that humans have lost ...but never forgotten.

Tapestry is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, incorporated in Texas in March, 1998 and legally registered and recognized as a non-profit organization doing business in the state of New Mexico.
